Verusil is a transparent, synthetic fused silica. It is manufactured solely from synthetic raw materials using a special Sol-Gel process.
It is characterized by its high chemical purity. Verusil typically has an OH-Content of approx. 300 ppm and is mainly used in optical (non-imaging), analytical and technical applications.
By applying a special subsequent purification step, the purity of Verusil can be further increased on request and the content of OH groups can be reduced to almost zero.
