Optical Diffusers for Laser- and sensor applications
Planar Diffusers
Optical diffusers made of Diffusil®-UV opaque fused silica are used, for example, in high-power lasers and in the UV sensor technology of water and air disinfection equipment.
All Diffusil®-UV diffusers from IQS show a nearly Lambertian light scattering characteristic, high optical transmission in the UV wavelength range and a significantly increased service life compared to other diffuser materials. The standard assortment ranges from 4 mm – 160 mm in diameter. This standard range of Diffusil®-UV diffusers is available from our sales partner opsira GmbH.
Conical Diffusers
Conical diffusers made of Diffusil®-UV are used in pyranometers to precisely measure solar radiation during the daily course of the sun. These are used in solar parks and systems to monitor the efficiency of solar modules.
Optical Elements for Beam Shaping
Microlens-Arrays (MLA) and Diffractiv Optical Elements (DOE)
IQS offers a range of optical elements from transparent fused silica Verusil to shape light beams (mostly for laser light sources). Compared to the usual manufacturing processes (lithography processes), our molding technology is a highly reproducible and cost-effective way to create optical microstructures onto fused silica surfaces. The smallest optical structures are in the range of 5 x 5 µm with a maximum element size of 20 x 20 mm.
